OAI|Open Archive Initiative

The OASIS Platform functions similar to OAI | Open Archives Initiative that provides interoperability standards and promotes aims to facilitate the efficient dissemination of content. As a shared media art platform, it was necessary to upgrade the unique identifiers in the OASIS project. Read more about

Dublin Core

The Dublin Core standard includes two levels: Simple and Qualified. Simple Dublin Core comprises fifteen elements; Qualified Dublin Core includes an additional element, Audience, as well as a group of element refinements (also called qualifiers) that refine the semantics of the elements in ways that may be useful in resource discovery. MPEG 7

MPEG-7 offers a comprehensive set of audiovisual Description Tools (the metadata elements and their structure and relationships, that are defined by the standard in the form of Descriptors and Description Schemes) to create descriptions (i.e., a set of instantiated Description Schemes and their corresponding Descriptors at the users will), which will form the basis for applications enabling the needed effective and efficient access (search, filtering and browsing) to multimedia content.

TV Anytime

The TV-Anytime metadata system allows the consumer to find, navigate and manage content from a variety of internal and external sources including, for example, enhanced broadcast, interactive TV, Internet and local storage. It should be able to make use of information, e.g. consumer profiles and preferences either manually or automatically, possibly through the use of agents. Read more about → TV Anytime.
