New Partners
The vote to admit a new full partner is by a two-thirds majority. As soon as a new partner has been accepted he will be integrated into the consortium and will hold the same rights as all current project partners.
Retirement of an OASIS Member
If a full partner wishes to discontinue their involvement with the platform they have to state this in writing at least 5 months in advance. It is desired to have at least 5 full partners at all times, so partners wishing to leave are encouraged to suggest a new partner for the platform.
This ethical obligation especially counts when through their own leaving the minimum number of partners will fall short.
This exchange of a partner has to be voted in by the OASIS Consortium with a two-thirds majority. The approval will be transmitted in written form.

Admission procedures
Interested parties are to inform the host of the middleware and OASIS main contact in writing - currently this is the HfG. The communication path is described on the OASIS website. The project coordinator subsequently informs all other OASIS Partners. The integration of the applicant is decided upon via democratic voting
The reaction time of the OASIS Partners' vote on the application is 4 weeks. Within those the considerations and discussions may take place. A quick process is desired, as it is expected that a communication with the applicant has been entered into before this formal written application has been submitted, so the latter should be easily decided upon.
A form for the application of new members and partners is being designed at the moment and checked by legal advisors.
In general new applicants must provide details about their institution, and the manner, extent and technical requirements of their content.
The form will ask for the following information:
- an abstract of the applying institution in English
- the content of the collection and its characterisation
- Type of content sorted by genre and media formats (videos, installations, documentation etc.)
- amount of content
- semantic conditioning: how is the content entered into the database
- technical condition (how does the database work, how is streaming content embedded
